Our team has recently been involved in conceiving, design and job management of a simple, efficient and environmental friendly feeding system for standard containers for storage of dry slags from a biomass fired power plant.
Slags discharged downstream an existing extractor through a double slide gate diverter fall down into a special double roller crusher to reduce eventual lumps to a max 50 mm size suitable for further transportation by abrasion resistant screw. The material is automatically distributed into two covering systems movable by hoisting devices and including levelling screws for filling optimization.
The described system, in spite of its fully automatic operation, is extremely cheap and simple; it can be extended to more than two containers if larger quantity of material must be stored.
